Myer renegs on opening store in NT

Department store Myer has reneged on its plans to open a store in the Northern Territory.

Darwin will now be the only capital city without a high-end department store.

The retailer was due to open its doors at Casuarina Square this year but after announcing its financial results, has confirmed "it will not proceed with a planned store in Darwin".

Myer says the decision is part of a new strategy for the company.

As long term locals Greg and Ali are disappointed with this decision, especially seeing as other large retailers have reaped record sales since opening their doors.

What does Cairns or Townsville have that Darwin doesn't?

Yesterday I had the pleasure of joining a group of Territory media professionals to participate in a trial testing for the AFL National Female Talent Search.

My morning consisted of a standing and running vertical jump test, an agility test, a 20m sprint and a skills session.

It was a great opportunity to see first hand what Territory women will go through at the national trials in Darwin on July 7.

There is definitely no lack of talent here so to have a women's team will be a massive win for the Northern Territory.

Athletes can now register their interest for the Darwin Talent Search at www.AFL.com.au/womens

New 'Will & Grace' scene about 2016 US Election

willandgrace

Will & Grace was a successful sitcom that ran for 8 seasons from 1998 to 2006.

Will, a gay lawyer, and interior designer Grace have been best friends since college. Living in the same apartment complex, they're constantly in each other's business. Stirring the pot of melodrama is Grace's "employee," Karen, and Will's flamboyant friend, Jack.

Well….after a 10 year absence the gang are back and the reason for that reunion is out.

Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes have revived their Will and Grace character for a video released ahead of the first presidential debate.

The 9:30 min video sees Will and Grace both worried about the rise of Donald Trump, while Karen is a supporter of his policy on Latinos.

Meanwhile Jack is distraught about the break-up of Brangelina.
