The face of fear. Ilaria has eaten a lot of exotic food over the years but nothing could prepare her for the fried Crickets that arrived this morning to the Mix 1049 studios via Toby Lim from Salsa’s Fresh Mex Grill at Casuarina Square. They’ve proved to be a big hit in Darwin with Salsa’s selling out of the fried bugs last Friday. New orders will arrive this week (can’t hardly wait).
Greg & Ilaria couldn’t believe that the manager of Salsa, Toby, hadn’t even tasted what he sells. The expression on his face (below) tells me he won’t be coming back for seconds. Greg’s wondering how many beers will it take to get rid of the taste.
