The cream of the Northern Territory's young musicians join Australian rock legends The Angels and Baby Animals for One Tropical Day in Darwin this Saturday.

GAIA, Sev and The Explosions and Isacc Smalley have been announced on the bill and will play prior to the double header at the Darwin Ski Club.

A six piece Indie rock band, GAIA is made up of a group of teenagers who met while at high school. Although still new, the outfit has notched up numerous gigs including playing alongside Angus and Julia Stone at this year's BassInTheGrass music festival.

Sev and the Explosions have emerged from the NT Music School and feature a line up that includes trumpet, sax, dueling electric guitars, keys, percussion and vocals.

Isacc Smalley is the 2016 Battle of the School Bands soloist winner and although small in stature delivers a performance well beyond his years.

Gates open from 4pm at the Darwin Ski Club this Saturday. Tickets are available from www.dtix.com.au
