Soldiers from the Darwin-based artilery regiment are gearing up to push a two tonne howitzer through the streets of Darwin.
The Gunner Bear Gun Push is an annual event aimed at raising money for the children's ward at Royal Darwin Hospital.
Next Saturday 3 September, troops from the 8th/12th regiment will roll a Vietnam-era M2A2 20km from the Darwin cenotaph to the Royal Darwin Hospital with fundraising teddy, Gunner Bear, riding shotgun.
Soldiers are encouraging everyone to get involved by donating money or by joining in a physical training session at Mindil Beach during the gun push for a gold coin donation.
Organisers are aiming to raise $45,000.
