The Northern Territory will be the newest destination on the PGA Tour of Australasia and will provide the perfect platform for local golfers to launch their international careers.
The Palmerston Golf Course will host the Northern Territory PGA Championship from August 11-14 with 150 golfers from across Australia, New Zealand and Asia headed to Darwin to take on the best locals.
The 72-hole tournament will see local hero Aaron Pike face off with some of Australia’s biggest golfing names such as Peter Lonard, Peter O’Malley as well as the next wave of emerging talent including Callan O’Reilly, Deyen Lawson, Mark Brown and Jarryd Felton.
The inaugural Northern Territory PGA Championship champion will pocket $150,000 in prizemoney plus Official World Golf Ranking points and a full exemption onto the PGA Tour of Australasia until the end of the 2017 season.
The Northern Territory PGA Championship brings the PGA Tour of Australasia schedule to 14 tournaments in 2016 played across five countries.
