Oaks Elan was the place to be on Friday with more than 140 people converging on the venue for my annual 'Cockteal Party' in support of Ovarian Cancer Australia.
Champagne, canapes, raffle prizes and a silent auction were among the highlights plus a presentation from Charlene Ericsson, who spoke candidly about her battle with the disease.
Naturally, I couldn't have hosted the event without the generosity of sponsors, donors and guests and I thank you for your support.
Special thanks goes to Mix 104.9, Oaks Elan, Janz Wines and Rachael Peters from Samuel Simth and Son, graphic designer Breanna Kearle, Steve Palmer from Territory Events Hire and Dreamedia.
Member for Nightcliff Natasha Fyles and Darwin Lord Mayor Katrina Fong Lim both donated prizes as did the following Darwin businesses:
Lake Bennett Resort, Hibiscus Chemmart Pharmacy, The Leprecaun Resort, Body Care Beauty Spot, Cameo Gifts and Homewares, Jo Robertson from Communicate, Palms City Resort, Karma Cafe, Scalpt Hair at the Waterfront, Raw Cloth, Styling by Jo Moo, In The KNow Photo, Dominos, Everlasting Health, Acupuncturist Kate Thomson, More Than A Room, Lulu and Daw, Darwin Harbour Cruises, Michelle Ormsby of Sophrosyne Healing, City Yoga Zone, Marmalaide Hair, Doubletree by Hilton, Darwin Health Care and Splash on Knuckey.
Money raised will go to Ovarian Cancer Australia and I look forward to your company again next year.
