It has been confirmed that Australia will be a stop on the Queen + Adam Lambert world tour.
Members of the much-adored British rock group Queen first performed with the famed American Idol singer Adam Lambert for a one-off show in Vegas last year. Having proved hugely popular it set the wheels in motion for taking the show out on tour.
It will be Queen's first visit to Australia in three decades. Promoter Paul Dainty this morning said he's been wanting to get the band back here for a long time, “Since I have started promoting and producing concert tours, one of my biggest dreams has been to bring Queen back to Australia and now this dream is a reality."
Four shows have been announced for Australia in August/September, with tickets going on sale 10 am, Wednesday 28 May.
Tour dates:
Friday 22 August - Perth Arena
Tuesday 26 August - Allphones Arena, Sydney
Friday 29 August - Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne
Monday 1 September - Brisbane Entertainment Centre
