Emmy Awards 2014
The 66th Primetime Emmy Awards take place on Tuesday (Australian time) with a Live broadcast on FOX8.
They will not be screened on Free to Air but www.emmys.com should be streaming coverage.
The event has changed from Sunday to Monday in the US due to avoid clashes with football and MTV’s VMAs.
Other changes this year include separating the Outstanding Miniseries and Movie categories, plus Reality now split into structured (Antiques Roadshow, MythBusters) and unstructured (Pawn Stars, Duck Dynasty). More conventional Reality shows are already grouped together as Competition (ie. Survivor, Amazing Race).
I’ll tip some wins here for: Breaking Bad, Matthew McConaughey, Julianna Margulies and The Normal Heart.

Friends reunite on Jimmy Kimmel
Three of the stars on Friends have reunited on Jimmy Kimmel Live, in a ‘Fan Fiction’ sketch penned by Kimmel. It doesn’t really matter if Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow were in on the act. I’m just glad they turned up. This is quite long but totes worth it for any nostalgic Friends fan.
Meanwhile a Central Perk replica pop-up cafe is setting up shop in New York with props from the show , the iconic orange couch, and Gunther (James Michael Tyle) is even set to make a few special appearances. It will appear from mid September to celebrate 20 years since Friends began.

The actress is featured on the cover of the upcoming issue of People magazine, wearing her custom-made Atelier Versace wedding gown and a veil that features hand-sewn designs from her children’s drawings.
For her bridal look, Jolie collaborated with Versace’s master tailor Luigi Massi.
“Luigi is like family to me and I couldn’t imagine anyone else making this dress,” she told the magazine. “He knows and cares for the children and it was great fun putting it together.” Jolie and Pitt wed in Chateau Miraval, France on August 23 in a private ceremony that was attended by their children and members of Pitt’s family.
“It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter,” Jolie and Pitt said of their nuptials. “It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family.” Hello! has the international exclusive of photos featuring Jolie, Pitt, and their six children.

Giant Mutant Spider Dog Scares The Hell Out Of People
Polish prankster Sylwester Wardega created ‘Chica the dogspider’, a medium-sized black dog that he dressed up in a very large spider outfit.

The costume, which almost engulfs the dog, has a large, furry body with big, long protruding legs attached to it, and bounces around in an unnerving manner when the dog trots along.
Wardega has filmed the dog in various situations, where it is unleashed in its spider-guise, at night, on unsuspecting passers-by. In one instance, Wardega appears slain at the bottom of a lift, with the dog stood is on top of him, causing two women to run screaming out of a building when the doors open.

Colombian bike team create a stir with new uniform
A Colombian women’s cycling team has caused a stir with their brand new uniform. They revealed the new kit for a race in northern Italy gave the appearance that the riders were semi-naked.
The uniform was a traditional cycling outfit from the chest up and the thighs down, but the midriff and groin were covered in flesh-coloured fabric with an unfortunate shadow.

All eyes were on Brownlow veteran Geoffrey Edelsten’s on-again off-again fiancee Gabi Grecko — and she didn’t disappoint. The 25-year-old model turned on the vamp, giving former red carpet standout Brynne a run for her money in the cleavage department.

People magazine scored the exclusive rights to the Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney wedding album.
This week’s special edition features 25 intimate photos from the 30-minute wedding ceremony in Venice Italy. They sealed their union with a “lengthy kiss.”
The magazine issue is filled with pics of the star-studded wedding guests, as well as posed pictures of the glamorous couple. Amal wore an Oscar de la RentaFrench lace wedding gown, hand-embroidered with pearls. George looked dapper in a Giorgio Armani tux with custom cufflinks inscribed with "George" in Arabic.
Clooney reportedly spent as much as 13 million dollars for the lavish weekend. Selling the exclusive rights to wedding photos helped defray those costs. Previously, People has paid as much as 14 million for these exclusive rights. Though just last month, they spent 2 million dollars for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitts’ wedding pics.
